My Basic Editing Process
Most photographers wouldn’t ever give away their editing secrets but I think that’s ridiculous. Besides, this is only the half of it! The possibilities are endless with Photoshop. However, I typically will start with the same basic steps and build from there.
Step 1: Open your image! It will need to be shot in RAW format to use my method.
take the highlights and bring them all the way to the left (1)
Bring the shadows all the way to the right (2)
Open the image! (3)
Select color lookup(1)
Click where it says Load 3D LUT… (2)
Select “filmstock_50.3dl” Play around with some of the other “filters” on the dropdown menu. Who knows, you might like a different one better!
Make a layer adjustment mask (1)
Click and drag the bottom left up a little (2)
Click and drag the line and anchor it in the point shown. (3)
Anchor the line in the point shown. (4)
And that’s it! Its quick, easy, and works most of the time. To add more, check out my other tutorials updated frequently!editing, free, free tutorial, how to, howto, learn, learning, photoshop, process, tutorial
