New York, NY
What can you say to sum up the greatest city in America. Words cannot express how much I love this place. Being here makes you feel as though you are in the center of civilization. Every walk of life coexisting in one magnificent island called Manhattan. I will forever be grateful to Gene and the owners of 214WL for giving me the opportunity to go here for “work”.
Almost there! The big apple barely visible in the distance. Nice that ATC kept us above 10,000ft otherwise this picture would have not been possible!
The USS Intrepid now a floating museum with the MOST random airplanes on the deck. For some reason an SR-71 was on the end.
The nice park areas around Hells Kitchen.
Cool stuff on top of the USS Intrepid.
Boss man Gene, and all around good guy.
Great way to get close to the statue of liberty is take the Staten Island Ferry. Its free!
Freedom Tower poking holes in the clouds
An ferry port not in use.
Lots of traffic!
The subway system is by far my favorite way to get around town. People say it smells bad, I think its just an acquired taste.
Near Grand Central Station, all buildings seem to touch the sky.
48th and Lex, its a great hotel and centrally located in Manhattan. Its a bit pricey but if your doing a weekend trip to the city, its great!
Grand Central Station
Century Park, fascinating to see peoples brains flexing in a chess battle.
Bike or subway, the only way to get around the city.
If you look closely theres a man walking around without a shirt on. It was genuinely cold the day I took this! Thats one of the things I love about this town, you can be whoever the heck you want to be.
9/11 memorial. A solemn place, absolutely beautifully designed and a wonderful tribute to those lost.
Street vendors are everywhere waiting to wreck your insides with very delicious food.
I’m not sure why anyone would want to own a car in NY. But if you do, its probably going to end up here for $500 a month.
Central Park views. In the spring and fall, this place is exquisite.
Some street performers keeping everyone’s attention.
More central park views
Greenwich Village, one day I hope to live here.
My sister on a work trip unrelated to my piloting job, we were photographing the city for a company.
