Tahquamenon Falls, MI
I went up here with a couple coworkers that had flown into Marquette. I flew into Escanaba so it wasn’t too far away! It was however in the middle of a winter storm. 1000% worth it.
Luckily I had a rented jeep to make the trip, thanks work!
My buddy Casey being himself haha
Legitimate winter storm. The wind would blow snow off the trees and create insane mini blizzards. I also brought along my medium format film camera. It did ok-ish in the cold.
The real star of the show was the drone going up in the snow to get this crazy view. The overlooks aren’t really centrally located to get the best angles.
Me doing my thing. It was COLD, maybe 15 degrees and very windy.
Shot from the film camera, trails leading to the overlook.
My buddy Lee shot with the film camera.
The crazy blizzard conditions at the waterfall. The water is a weird root beer color from some type of algae. Definitely would come back in the winter again. The intense snowfall and winter conditions made it that much better I think. And there are WAY less people up here! Thanks for reading!
