NY is an amazing place. When I used to think of NY I would always think of the city. It wasn’t until I started flying privately, that I discovered upstate. From Albany up to the northern border of the state you can find massive mountains, and endless lakes.
A great breakfast spot in Albany, Cafe Madison
On the drive up to the Adirondacks national park, the views change quickly. The sky looks more of a silvery blue then on the west coast.
Lake Placid, NY. You can still see the remnants of the olympic games.
Beautiful clean blue water surrounded by mountains
Renting a bike is a great way to see each town, lots of places available at each one.
The Ausable Chasm
Pretty unique spot. The walk through is pretty easy.
Driving around in search of mountain peaks
Some of the highest peaks on the east coast are out here. The nice thing is your not super high in elevation so it makes the hiking a bit easier then on the west coast.
Getting to the top of Whiteface Mountain.
An interesting place to have these installed.
At the top of Whiteface Mountain theres a weather observatory. This tunnel connects to a parking area about 500 feet below the peak.
White Plains, NY
Great summertime activities here. Sidewalk festivals with great food, art, and interesting people.
This nice lady gave us a tour of the church. It was pretty impressive!
